Dressed to Impress

Hi to everyone during this unprecedented time in our lives as we practice social distancing and strive to enjoy our homes and families, like we should have been doing all along I think. I am a nurse who recently retired from school health. Keen infection control techniques should be a normal part of our every day lives. Is it though? Of course not. That is why this is a good time to practice it. Do realize that we can only practice it; perfection is not practical since we are designed as social beings who interact with people who do not have the exact same life style as we do....hence the importance of social distancing.

These cards were so much fun to make! I have several nieces and one granddaughter who this set was screaming "TAKE ME HOME" for.  The Best Dressed Suite includes the stamp set, Designer series paper (DSP),  the dies to coordinate, and many other fun items. The die set also includes the most precious tiny purse dies that can be also used as a backpack for little boys or a gift card holder for anyone. Look at the coordinating Designers Series Paper! The colors are sp pretty and vibrant. Not all the paper has to do with fashion. There are beautiful florals as an alternate on the other side.

There are several sentiments included in the set that I just love. Joyce Meyer is a pastor who I have enjoyed listening to for many years. She is straight forward and to the point about how to do this thing called LIFE while practicing our faith and living according to God's Word. One of the things she has said for years is, Life is short; buy the shoes and eat the cookie.  That is one of the reasons I love this set. The shoes were cut using one of the dies and Lovely Lipstick foil paper from last year's (2019) Sale-A-Bration catalog. Included in that set was also Grapefruit Grove foil paper. I of course hoarded several pieces of each. I thought it worked well with this set. Just think about how the Real Red glimmer paper could be used with these shoes...are you seeing Toto and the Wicked Witch of the West??

I incorporated Loveitchopit using mint macaron and black card stock as layers and the DSP as the focal point. Purple Posey is the sentiment layer. Since this is a true "girly" card, I used a little Lacey trim ribbon as an accent.
