I can't believe it has been so long since I posted something! Well, I have a pretty good excuse though. I have had my son and his family (he and his wife, plus a 4 and 2 year old) living with us until their house was finished. They have moved in and loving their new home. As most can imagine, you don't craft seriously with a 2 year old nearby! Don't get me wrong....I let them craft and use their imaginations and creativity....under somewhat controlled situations however.
I love to follow Pinkbuckaroo's blog and You Tube channel (Erica Cerwin) from San Antonio, Texas. I recently purchased her calendar tutorial. I had the most fun creating them! I began trying to copy her tutorial verbatim but then I ventured out and began designing my own. I hope to continue this every year! Using the stamp set from Stampin' Up! (SU!) called Days to Remember (page 104 in the Annual catalog) is SO easy use. As chance would have it, a seven day numerical length is exactly the size of a SU! stamp pad width! I have other calendar sets from other companies in fact, and have tried this endeavor many years before.....it was so difficult that I gave up. I whipped these calendars out in a matter of 5 days, working only a few hours a day.
I enjoyed using current products and retired products, melting them into one fun project. That is what Newstalgia Stamping is all about!
