#loveitchopit

How many of you have heard of the growing hot topic "Love It Chop It?"

As far as I know, this was started by my favorite Stampin' Up demonstrator Kylie Bertucci https://www.kyliebertucci.com from Australia. She is truly, genuine, incredible person. She has engineered so many helpful tools and tricks for any card maker to use, such as the afrementioned Love It Chop It, Color Card Templates for almost every (perhaps all of them)  country that Stampin' Up! serves, blog hops, tutorials, blog training, demo training, and so many others. Check out her blog and tutorial videos...endless free entertainment. This is a sample of how Love It Chop It works:

As soon as you received a Designers Series paperback, pull I out of the plastic, grab your trimmer, a case to put the paper in, perhaps a ziplock bag, or what I like to use is a Full Size Stamp Case (#127551, 4 to an order) . I cut the paper in the size I like to use on a card front, which is 4 x 51/4 inches. I even put a red mark on my trimmer on both of those measurements so it would be easier and quicker to cut the paper.

Start with the  5 1/4" cut first, then cut those into 4" panels (should get 6 per sheet of each 12 x 12" paper). You will have an 1 1/2"  X 12" piece remaining. I cut two 1/2 " slices from the remnant. This will be adhered to the spine of the case later. I cut the remaining 1 1/2 " piece into 6" strips to go into the case easily. I cut the label from the DSP pack and slide it into the front of the case. I cut a 7" x 1" strip of either and stock or the white card packaging. I apply tape runner all the way down it and adhere the paper slices on the strip so I can have a readily available glance at the paper in the case. The label from the packaging will have all the colors used in the DSP and the name of the DSP. Cool Huh?

This technique will help you in so many ways:
*It gives you paper ready to be used as a card front layer or to cut further into smaller sections if you desire for most any card layout.
* It jump starts your Mojo, giving you color and theme ideas
* It helps organize the DSP so you can store it more effectively.
* The size will fit perfectly in a Big Shot, Cuddlebug, etc.  for easy die cutting
